SemiSouth Laboratories Inc., a company specializing in developing and manufacturing silicon carbide-based electrical components and materials for solar applications, has named Chris Thompson vice president of marketing and Dan Schwob vice president of sales.
Thompson has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing and product development in renewable energy, data centers, UPS and other high-growth markets. Prior to joining SemiSouth, he served as vice president and general manager of solar inverters for Advanced Energy Industries, and also worked for Xantrex Technology and American Power Conversion.
Schwob joins SemiSouth with over 30 years' experience in sales and marketing of power electronics and semiconductor devices. Prior to joining SemiSouth, he was vice president of marketing for iWatt Corporation and vice president of sales at IXYS.
