The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) has elected five new members to its board of directors and re-elected one member to serve an additional term. The board members were chosen by a vote by SEPA members and were announced at the organization's annual membership meeting last week.

The following new members have joined the SEPA board: Eran Mahrer, director of renewable energy at Arizona Public Service; Luis Reyes, CEO of Kit Carson Electric Cooperative; Theresa Williams, senior policy adviser at the Western Area Power Administration; Janet Gagnon, head of government relations at SolarWorld; and Lisa Frantzis, managing director at Navigant Consulting.

In addition, Mark Dougherty, director of distributed generation and renewable programs for the Long Island Power Authority, has been re-elected to serve for an additional three-year term.

As part of a restructuring earlier this year, the SEPA board was increased from 18 to 20 seats, which the organization says allows for representation from a broader spectrum of the energy industry.
