Sharp Solar says its PV modules have been confirmed as resistant to potential induced degradation (PID).
The products' PID resistance testing was performed by the Fraunhofer Center for Silicon Photovoltaics. One module each from 13 manufacturers was independently tested at 50 degrees C and a relative humidity of 50%.
Only four of the 13 modules tested passed the test and exhibited no signs of degradation, Sharp Solar adds.
