The San Francisco Giants and Pacific Gas and Electric Company kicked off the 2008 baseball season at AT&T Park with the help of a 120 kW photovoltaic system. The array at the stadium uses a combination of 500 Sharp Solar PV panels and four Solectria Renewables inverters.
The project was designed and installed by Solar Design Associates of Harvard, Mass., working with Cupertino Electric of Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
