Siemens Energy has received a project order from Eco Delta Developpement (EDD), a project developer of renewable energy projects. EDD's subsidiary, Delta Solar, will be developing the photovoltaic projects.
Under the agreement, Siemens will handle the turnkey construction of six solar power plants with a combined capacity of 30 MW. The projects will be located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region of France.
The plants, which will include approximately 111,000 PV modules, are scheduled to go online in stages starting in summer 2011.
