In addition, Siemens will serve as the general contractor for nine photovoltaic plants owned by Sun Development in France, Martinique and Guadeloupe. The plants, totaling 8 MW, are scheduled to go online by the end of the year.

As the general contractor, Siemens will be responsible for the turnkey construction, engineering and project management of these photovoltaic plants. The scope of supply includes the full range of Siemens components, such as inverters, medium-voltage equipment, and monitoring and control systems. For the solar power plants in Martinique and Guadeloupe, Siemens will also provide service and maintenance.
