Silfab SPA, an Italy-based vertically integrated provider of PV products and services, has entered into an agreement with PV developer Espe SRL, also based in Italy.
The companies' agreement establishes their equal participation in Espe Sunparc SRL, with headquarters in Paviola, Padova, Italy, and Espe Sunparc America, a subsidiary in charge of operations in the U.S. and Canada, soon to be incorporated.
The joint-venture firm plans to develop photovoltaic plants with a cumulative output of more than 70 MW. Approximately 30% of the projects will be located outside of Italy. Espe Sunparc will primarily focus on ground-mounted PV installations in Italy, but projects in other countries are expected to incorporate a broader range of technologies, the companies note.
