Sky Power Solutions, headquartered in Mooresville, N.C., has developed the Sky Power system, which features concentrating PV technology for residential solar applications.
The system includes solar trackers and takes up approximately one-third the space of traditional PV modules, the company says.
A working prototype of the technology is currently available. The entry-level price point is expected to be approximately $5,000 at release. Multiple units can be combined for increased capacity.
