SkyFire Energy, a solar engineering, procurement and construction contractor, has completed a 260 kW PV array at Okanagan College in Penticton, British Columbia.
The installation consists of 1,106 Conergy P solar modules and will generate approximately 292,500 kWh per year, according to Conergy. It is located on the roof of the college's Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Building Technologies and Renewable Energy Conservation.
The photovoltaic system will be used as a learning tool and integrated into the college's trades and technology classes.
