skytron and Strata Solar have joined together to provide skytron's monitoring and control solutions to nearly 200 U.S. solar PV projects, including both retrofits and newly built plants, by mid-2016.

The projects, which will range in capacity from 1 MW to 80 MW, will total more than 1.4 GW.

Previously, Strata Solar had equipped 535 MW of its projects with skytron's PVGuard supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software. Strata Solar now plans to equip another 165 MW of plants with the PVGuard and its skylog data logger system.

‘skytron energy's monitoring and supervision technology enables us to have the entire plant portfolio and all relevant plant data available at all times on a single software platform, increasing the efficiency of our plant supervision,’ says Markus Wilhelm, Strata Solar's CEO.

‘Our initial goal was to optimize our existing plants, which we successfully managed with the support of skytron energy's SCADA system. We will now continue to integrate the system into our rapidly expanding portfolio of new plants and offer it to our partners as part of our developing O&M service portfolio,’ Wilhelm adds.
