SMA Central Inverters Power 13 MW Solar Plant In Dubai

First Solar has completed and commissioned a 13 MW solar project for the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in the United Arab Emirates. The DEWA 13 plant is the first phase of the planned Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

First Solar provided engineering, procurement and construction services for the fixed-tilt, ground-mount project along with its thin-film solar modules. SMA Solar provided its Sunny Central 500CP-XT inverters. DEWA 13 is expected to generate approximately 24 GWh of electricity annually.
