SMA has introduced a new version of its medium-voltage (MV) Power Platform for utility-scale PV plants in the North American market.
Available in 1.0 to 1.8 MW models, the Compact MV Power Platform includes integrated AC disconnects and optional DC disconnect units. SMA says the unit is NEC 2011 compliant, NRTL listed and equipped with grid management functions.
‘The current utility-scale solar market is showing increased demand for a more reliable, ready-to-use solution that will make investments worthwhile,’ says Henry Dziuba, president and general manager of SMA America and president of SMA Canada.
