Solaicx, a manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers, has appointed Dr. Peter V. Schwartz vice president of product engineering. He will lead the company's efforts in identifying and exploiting efficiency opportunities to enhance Solaicx's production process.
Schwartz was most recently vice president of process and equipment for Nanoconduction Inc. Prior to that, he led a team of engineers at Torrex Equipment Corp., which developed a high-volume manufacturing system that was acquired by Applied Materials.
