Solar Clock Doesn’t Go Tick-Tock

0

Quantys USA, Davis, Calif., is now importing the latest solar novelty from Germany: the solar powered radio-controlled wall clock.

The energy for the product is provided by a special long-life battery recharged by integrated solar cells, thus cancelling the need for a cable or replacing of batteries. The clock is completely self-sustaining and maintenance-free – it is also completely silent, with nary a solar-powered tick or tock to be heard.

According to the company, the clock also features a centrally broadcasted radio signal automatically that sets the time every hour, so a manual time adjustment is never needed. It also includes an integrated smoke sensor that activates an alarm sound in case of fire. The clock comes in either a silver-white or silver-black casing.
