Solar Energy Initiatives Inc. has appointed David W. Fann its new chief executive officer and promoted Gregory N. Bakeman to president. Bakeman will also continue to serve as the company's chief financial officer.

In conjunction with the management changes, Michael J. Dodak has resigned from the day-to-day activities of the company but will remain on the board of directors. Dodak will now focus on securing large solar development projects via his proven background within the renewable energy industry.

Fann has over 15 years of experience within the public markets. He has served as a director on the board of Solar Energy Initiatives since June 2006. Previously, Fann was president and a director of Funds 3000 and chief executive officer and director of the Global Axcess Corp.

Prior to joining Solar Energy Initiatives, Bakeman served as the chief financial officer of one of the largest U.S. renewable energy attributes companies. He has also worked at McKenzie Bay International Ltd., where he led the development of two renewable energy systems.
