Solar Energy Initiatives Inc., a company with businesses in solar project development, distribution and workforce training, says its SNRY Solar Inc. division has initiated the installation of 10 hot water systems as part of the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency (NFCAA) Weatherization Assistance Program in Jacksonville, Fla.

NFCAA, which provides programmatic leadership and funding for Department of Energy-sponsored weatherization programs, is utilizing the Community Rehabilitation Center Institute (CRCI) nonprofit community training partner, Northwest Support Services (NWSS), a job placement partner, and SNRY Solar Inc. to facilitate these installations.

The pilot employs CRCI's initial 11 solar technician graduates, thereby creating green jobs in Jacksonville, Solar Energy Initiatives Inc. says. The certified solar technicians, in conjunction with CRCI, NWSS and SNRY, are now providing inspection, installation, training and evaluation services for 10 NFCAA-identified weatherization-eligible homes.
