Brooklyn, N.Y.-based Solar Energy Systems has installed a roof-mounted 312 kW solar array for metalworking firm Architectural Grille, also of Brooklyn. The system is expected to produce 365 MWh of electricity per year.
The photovoltaic array consists of 1,078 Trina panels and spans most of the 80,000 square feet of available roof space. Interior electrical work began in May, with rooftop panel installation completed in early September.
The project received funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority through Gov. Andrew Cuomo's NY-Sun Initiative.
