Law firm McCarter & English LLP has hired Marshall B. McLean to work in its environment/energy and corporate practice groups as special counsel. He will be based in the firm's Newark, N.J., office.
McLean represents developers, manufacturers and investors in the renewable energy industry. He has assisted in the development, finance and sale of over 5,000 MW of renewable energy projects across the country, primarily in the wind, solar and geothermal sectors.Â
McLean's previous work in the solar sector includes roles with the Solar Energy Generating Systems projects in California and the Riverside renewable energy project in Gloucester City, N.J. Riverside is a 40 MW rooftop photovoltaic project on the New Jersey side of Philadelphia's Walt Whitman Bridge.
Prior to joining McCarter & English, McLean was an associate at Reed Smith LLP in Princeton, N.J.
