Germany-based Solar-Fabrik's Premium system for integrating photovoltaic cells into roofs has been certified by France's Centre Scientifique et Technique du Batiment (CSTB).
Solar-Fabrik says its Premium system passed the CSTB's rain and wind impermeability tests. The certification is a precondition to get a 10-year insurance guarantee, which construction companies in France require for building new houses or renovating existing ones.
Solar-Fabrik's Premium series of PV modules covers a range of types with power ratings from 200 W to 275 W. All Premium modules are equipped with the company's Solrif frame.
