Renewable energy retailers and installers seeking new customers should go to church – they could find new customers there.
According to a BBC News report, St. Joseph's Church in Cwmaman, Cynon Valley, Wales, which currently uses 30 solar panels to provide the building's electricity, now seeks to sell the surplus power generated.
While the solar system was initially not expected to supply sufficient electricity for the building's needs, Father David Way told BBC News that the church may supply the country's national grid with the extra energy.
He added that during the planning stages of the solar energy project, parishioners hoped to make sure the church was as environmentally friendly as possible while maintaining the heritage of the building.
