Solar Frontier has launched the S series, a new PV module product line including modules ranging from 140 W to 160 W.
The S series – using Solar Frontier's copper indium selenium (CIS) technology – introduces positive sorting of -0/+5Wp. This allows customers to benefit from assured power ratings at or above the label value, according to the company.
The new 160 W products have an aperture area efficiency of 14.1% and a module efficiency of 13.0%. As part of the portfolio upgrade, Solar Frontier is phasing out its 130 W modules.
The modules are commercially available from Solar Frontier's 900 MW Kunitomi, Japan, factory.
