Solar Frontier, a subsidiary of Showa Shell Sekiyu K.K., has signed an agreement with Granite Construction Inc. to provide 1.2 MW of its copper indium sulfide thin-film solar technology at Granite's aggregate and hot mix facility in Coalinga, Calif.
This PV installation will supply up to 50% of the total energy requirement of the facility, Solar Frontier says. Granite Construction is a heavy civil contractor and construction materials producer.
