Solar Monkey, a full-service provider of solar system integration and solar power generation services, will inaugurate a 245.7 kW rooftop PV installation at Rainbow Sandals' corporate headquarters in San Clemente, Calif.
Rainbow Sandals, a provider of footwear and clothing, qualified for a 30% federal tax grant for the project and also qualified for San Diego Gas & Electric's production-based incentive to help subsidize the $1.2 million required to construct the solar energy system.
The completed system, which consists of 1,170 solar modules, is expected to offset nearly 90% of the annual electricity usage at the headquarters building.
