Solar Nation, a Portland, Ore.-based full-service designer and builder of solar energy systems, has installed and commissioned a 200 kW solar electric system on the Henningsen Cold Storage Co. location in Gresham, Ore.
The Henningsen installation includes 1,386 thin-film solar panels, manufactured in the U.S. by UNI-SOLAR, covering 32,479 square feet of pre-existing roof space. This system will supply approximately 20% of the electrical energy needs for the 145,000 square-foot facility, according to Solar Nation.
