Solar Power Partners and Toronto-based JCM Capital have jointly launched a fund to develop, finance, own and operate 200 MW of solar projects in Ontario. The companies note that they have already initiated 20 MW of projects to start construction in 2011.
The fund will focus on solar projects installed on large commercial and industrial buildings across Ontario and utilize Ontario's feed-in-tariff program with solar power purchase agreements from the Ontario Power Authority.
