ReneSola Ltd., a manufacturer of solar wafers, says it has successfully commenced trial production of the first batch of polysilicon from the first phase of its two-phase, 3,000 metric-ton polysilicon manufacturing facility located in China's Sichuan province.
‘The production output from this new facility will provide us with a stable, cost-effective flow of polysilicon,’ comments Xianshou Li, ReneSola's CEO.
ReneSola's facility uses a Siemens process and a closed-loop system to produce polysilicon. The second phase is scheduled to reach mechanical completion in September.
