SUNworks, a commercial and residential division of Solar3D Inc., is contracting with multiple California-based agricultural organizations for over 700 kW of solar installations.
The contracts total approximately $1.5 million and are designed to achieve over $9 million in cost savings for the customers over the next 25 years.
Danamark Walnut, a walnut producer in central California, will get a 368.2 kW huller rooftop system and a 111.6 kW office rooftop system. The projects are expected to provide the farm approximately $4.5 million in energy cost-savings over the next 25 years.
SUNworks is installing a 46.4 kW roof panel for Bear River Supply, a Rio Oso-based provider of crop nutrients and crop-protection products.
COE Orchard Equipment in Live Oak is getting a 192.3 kW DC roof-mount project, designed to bring more than $4.2 million in cost savings over the next 25 years.
