SolarBOS Releases Current-Sensing Combiner Solution

0

SolarBOS has released a new current-sensing combiner solution for the solar sector. The patent-pending design uses small hall-effect sensors to measure the current flowing through each fuse holder, thereby allowing system operators and owners to detect underperforming circuits, according to the company.

The new combiners, which are listed to UL-1741, communicate via RS-485/Modbus and can be configured with disconnects or contactors as well as surge suppressors and/or voltage transducers. These combiners also record busbar temperatures and provide ‘string out’ indication with built-in LEDs.

SolarBOS currently offers 8-, 12-,and 16-circuit versions at 600 VDC, 1,000 VDC and up to 250 ADC.
