The Murrieta Valley Unified School District in California has completed 2.3 MW of PV arrays at all 19 of its schools, as well as the district support center.
Designed and installed by SolarCity, the new installations comprise more than 10,000 solar panels mounted atop parking lot carports. They are expected to save the district approximately $23 million over 25 years, according to SolarCity.
The contract between the school district and SolarCity includes a 25-year performance guarantee and a 25-year maintenance contract.
