SolarEdge Technologies Inc., a provider of solar PV inverters, power optimizers and module-level monitoring services, has officially shipped its 10 millionth power optimizer.
The company says it has reached this milestone 10 years after its founding and only six years after it began making commercial shipments. In 2015 alone, nearly 5 million power optimizers were shipped across the globe.
“We founded the company with a vision that every solar panel would have smart electronics, and we are on our way to fulfilling this,” says Guy Sella, SolarEdge’s CEO, co-founder and chairman.
To commemorate this achievement, SolarEdge is sending out 10 power optimizers signed by the company’s founders that will entitle each of the recipients to receive $10,000 in cash.
