SolarEdge Technologies Inc., a provider of PV inverters, power optimizers and module-level monitoring services, has announced that its StorEdge solution is currently available internationally.
The company says that StorEdge, compatible with Tesla's Powerwall home battery, is a DC coupled storage solution that enables homeowners to reduce electric bills and achieve energy independence. Unused solar energy is stored in a battery to be used for power backup or to maximize self-consumption.
StorEdge also supports time-of-use management, which encourages energy consumption when demand from the grid is low and lower consumption when demand is high.
The solution is based on a single inverter that both manages and monitors solar energy generation, consumption and storage. SolarEdge says that homeowners with this system will benefit from higher generation, higher efficiency, simple design, enhanced safety, full monitoring and easy maintenance.
StorEdge is now available in Australia, Europe, South Africa and the U.S. and can be ordered by PV installers via SolarEdge distributors.
