Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd., a vertically integrated manufacturer of silicon ingots and wafers, and photovoltaic cells and modules in China, plans to increase its module capacity to 900 MW by August, due to increased customer demand for the second half of 2010.
Additionally, the company has purchased a cell line from Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. that will increase its cell capacity to over 500 MW by July 1. This line will begin operations in May.
