Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd., a manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers and PV cells and modules in China, says Jiangsu Linyang Solar Power Electronic Engineering Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarfun, has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Guangdong Guohua New Energy Investment Co. Ltd.
According to the terms of the contract, Jiangsu Linyang will be responsible for designing, engineering and constructing an 8.1 MW PV power plant in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. Jiangsu Linyang will also supply the PV modules for the project.
This project will be subsidized by the national Golden Sun program and owned by Guohua New Energy. The plant is expected to be completed by Dec. 31 and will cover 74.1 acres and generate approximately 8.1 MWh of electricity per year.
