Framingham, Mass.-based SolarOne Solutions, a provider of energy-efficient lighting systems, has introduced the new HL600 lamp, a solar light-emitting diode (LED) lighting system that is 60% brighter and uses the same amount of solar energy compared to the standard.
The HL600 replaces the HL380 lamp, rated at 380 lumens, used in SolarOne's standard product line of lighting systems for general illumination of parking lots, pathways, bus shelters, and other pedestrian and low-speed areas. The company's HL600 lamp delivers 600 lumens at steady-state operating conditions. At over 70 lumens per watt, the HL600 surpasses the lumen per watt performance of many fluorescent bulbs, the company says.
SolarOne adds that NewPoint Energy of Austin, Texas, has installed the lamps at The Woods at Barton Creek. For further information on the HL600, contact SolarOne at (877) 527-6461 or www.solarone.net
