SolarReserve, a Los Angeles-based solar thermal power company, has appointed William R. Gould Jr. to serve as its chief technical officer. He recently led the design and development of the Solar Two project in the Mojave Desert, which employs molten salt power tower technology.
Gould has dedicated the past 12 years of his career to solar energy installations, developing expertise in areas such as design, construction, cost estimation and financial due diligence on concentrated solar power technologies. Before joining SolarReserve, he was principal consultant at Sustainable Energy Projects LLC, and he also held positions with Bechtel and General Atomic.
