SolarRoofs.com Inc., Carmichael, Calif., has developed a partnership with Athens, Ga.-based Power Partners Inc., whereby SolarRoofs.com will contribute patented solar water heating systems for residential and commercial applications, and Power Partners will offer the infrastructure and resources to bring these solar thermal products into mass production.

SolarRoofs.com's solar water heating system comprises a solar thermal collector, pipes connecting the collector with a traditional gas or electric water heater, a small pump to circulate the water between the collector and the heater, and a small solar photovoltaic panel to run the pump. Its Skyline system has been featured on ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ and the History Channel, and will soon be part of a Discovery Channel program.

Power Partners' production team currently produces one solar collector per hour, says Philip Sullivan, the company's process engineer, adding that plans call for the production of 1,000 collectors per day. The solar water heater production line is still being developed.

‘Power Partners wants to grow, and we are very proud that their nationwide search resulted in them choosing our innovative Skyline solar water heating products as the best products to grow with,’ comments Al C. Rich, founder and president of SolarRoofs.com.
