Solar energy provider SolarVision LLC has completed the installation of a 250 kW solar PV array for the City of Washington Court House in Ohio.
The 1,092 Hyundai solar panels were installed on barren land located behind the Washington Court House Service Department, located at 200 Park Ave., SolarVision says. The solar installation is expected to generate approximately 292,000 kWh per year – 25% of the power needed to operate the plant.
The City of Washington Court House has entered into a power purchase agreement with SolarVision, which owns, operates, insures and maintains the system. The City of Washington Court House will purchase the energy generated by the solar panels at a discounted rate.
The project was one of five bundled into a $5.6 million financing deal constructed by SolarVision using new market tax credits.
