Solarwatt Notes Modules’ Snow-Load Performance

0

Germany-based solar module manufacturer Solarwatt AG says its modules have been tested to perform as designed in heavy snowfall and with extreme snow loads.

Specifically, the company's P210, M220, M250, M180 and M200 modules meet the technically relevant standards and requirements of the mechanical snow-load tests. The P210, M220 and M250 ranges were tested for a maximum snow load of 6,000 pascals. Modules from the M180 and M200 ranges were tested to a load of 7,600 pascals thanks to their high mechanical stability.

This corresponds to snow-load zones II to III, which apply for the highest locations up to 920 meters – e.g., the highest locations in the Alpine region, the company says.
