SolarWorld has provided its 250 W Sunmodule PV panels for a 125 kW PV installation at the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden's Center for Sustainable Landscapes in Pittsburgh.
SolarWorld-authorized installer Energy Independent Solutions performed the installation, which includes both roof-mounted and ground-mounted components. Combined with energy efficiencies, solar hot water, natural light-capture, and geothermal heating and cooling, the PV system is expected to help reduce the center's reliance on off-site energy, according to SolarWorld.
