Solectria Renewables LLC, a U.S.-based PV inverter manufacturer, says it will supply commercial and utility-scale inverters for photovoltaic systems in New Jersey in partnership with DCO Energy, an engineering, procurement and construction contractor.

The first system, located in Seabrook, N.J., is a 6 MW project divided into two phases: The first 3 MW phase is already under way and will be completed by the end of the year, and the second 3 MW phase will begin construction in spring 2011. For this project, Solectria will provide 12 of its SmartGrid inverters (SGIs).

The second system will be a 2.5 MW ground-mounted system co-located at South Jersey Industries natural-gas storage facility in McKee City, N.J. The system will be tied directly to the grid and is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of 2011. For this project, Solectria will provide seven of its SGIs.
