Solectria Renewables LLC, a PV inverter manufacturer, says its commercial inverters have been installed at the first photovoltaic system with electric vehicle (EV)-charging stations in the southern U.S. In partnership with Outpost Solar, Solectria provided two 13 kW PVI grid-tied inverters for the 20.16 kW system installed at Richland LLC in Pulaski, Tenn.
Outpost Solar's parking-area solar arrays integrate EV charging. This project is expected to generate over 24,000 kWh of electricity annually, which will be used to charge the EVs. The parking area is 55 feet long and 32 feet wide, and will accommodate 12 electric vehicles.
