Inverter manufacturer Solectria Renewables LLC says its Megawatt Solar Stations (MSS) have been chosen by Power Partners MasTec LLC for the 5 MW True North solar farm in Salisbury, Mass.
This solar farm, which recently received interconnection, is the largest solar installation in New England and the first direct-to-grid solar farm in Massachusetts, according to Solectria.
Five MSS were chosen for the project – four stations of 1 MW each and one 750 kW station. Each MSS is skid-mounted and includes a factory-wired 22.9 kV medium-voltage transformer and switchgear to connect the inverters directly to the grid.
