SolFocus Completes 1 MW CPV Plant


Valley College and SolFocus have completed a 1 MW concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) plant located in Victorville, Calif. This plant is the largest solar power plant in North America using CPV systems, according to the companies. The six-acre plant is located on the college's main campus and consists of 122 SolFocus SF-1100S CPV arrays. In addition, the college plans to develop curriculum within its existing academic and technical programs around CPV solar technology, including installation, operations and maintenance.
