SolFocus has introduced the SF-1136SX – a new concentrated PV (CPV) array that the company says reduces field assembly time by over 50%.
The new design builds off of the company's SF-1100P CPV but features a higher level of factory integration and improved logistics packaging, SolFocus says. Each SF-1136SX provides 15.6 kWp of DC power and is constructed using multi-panel assemblies (MPAs) of four panels each, with nine MPAs comprising a single array. The MPAs eliminate any field alignment requirements, the company claims.
SolFocus will begin deploying the SF-1136SX early in the fourth quarter.
