Solis Partners, a developer and integrator of commercial solar power systems, has been awarded a turnkey contract by Shore Point Distributing Co. Inc. to install a rooftop solar power generation system on its corporate headquarters and central distribution location in Freehold, N.J.
Shore Point is a beverage distribution company serving Ocean, Monmouth, Middlesex, Mercer, Burlington, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties. The 1.2 MW rooftop photovoltaic system on Shore Point's 267,000 square-foot facility will offset approximately 75% of the building's annual electric load.
Designed, engineered and constructed by Solis Partners, the array will consist of 5,732 Solyndra PV panels that will generate approximately 1.38 GWh of electricity annually. The panels are being deployed in conjunction with a white cool-roof system.
The project is expected to be completed in June.
