SOLON Completes 2.7 MW Multi-Site Solar Project

SOLON Corp., a provider of turnkey solar power plants and a manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar modules, has completed nearly 2.7 MW in solar system construction for Arizona's Paradise Valley Unified School District. The initiative is known as PV Schools.

SOLON engineered, procured and constructed the solar photovoltaic systems for PV Schools, in addition to manufacturing the solar modules at its Tucson-based manufacturing facility.

The installations include a 940 kW array on North Canyon High School, 973 kW on Shadow Mountain High School, a 462 kW array on Pinnacle High School and a 288 kW on Horizon High School.

Under a solar service agreement, the school district avoids any up-front system purchase cost by purchasing the power at a fixed rate. SOLON has partnered with SunEdison, LLC to manage the systems.
