SoloPower, a California-based manufacturer of thin-film solar photovoltaic cells and modules, has hired Arthur Rudin as vice president of product development and Robert Muhn as general manager of sales.

Rudin will draw on his 30 years of photovoltaic industry experience to guide the next wave of SoloPower's copper indium gallium diselenide product development. Before joining SoloPower, Rudin served as vice president of product development and systems engineering at Solar Integrated Technologies. He has been involved in standards development for the PV industry through his involvement with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

Muhn joins SoloPower from Kyocera Solar, where he was responsible for the company's sales to the grid-connected, off-grid industrial and rural electrification markets in the Americas and Australia. Muhn also has served as a subcontractor to Sandia National Labs and the U.S. Department of Energy, developing programs focused on productive uses of renewable energies in developing countries
