Direct Group Africa has executed a letter of intent to integrate SoloPower Systems’ solar photovoltaic technology for up to 54 MW of solar projects on 15,000 low-income and student housing units in South Africa.
The companies have concluded terms for the initial project phase for 762 kW of building-integrated solar PV systems, and they expect to complete a framework agreement during the first half of this year to cover the installation of approximately 6 MW of SoloPower’s systems annually for Direct Group’s first large-scale community project in Port Elizabeth.
