Soltas Energy Corp. has signed an agreement to construct a 3.5 MW solar power plant in an unspecified location in eastern Massachusetts. The system will cover more than 20 acres of land in an industrial area and is anticipated to service local government and business customers.
The latest contract brings the company's total of currently operating solar projects and projects under construction to more than 15 MW, notes Kirt Mayland, CEO of Soltas Energy.
