Soltec Energias Renovables says that its newest solar photovoltaic plant, Solluz, has begun generating electricity. Located in Lorca, Spain, the 1 MW plant features 94 dual-axis Soltec 10K Series solar tracks, 3,666 Suntech 270/Vb PV modules and 94 Soltec 9500 inverters.
In addition, Solluz is equipped with a central weather station, a remote control, monitoring systems, closed-circuit television and advanced anti-theft measures. The installation was included on the government's provisional list of installations with right of access to second-quarter 2009 feed-in tariffs, Soltec notes.
